Teacher & Founder
Hey there! I’m Sarah—a yoga practitioner, mom of four, and wife to my best friend for the past 20 years. Let’s not forget about our two dogs, Jax and Gypsy, and our horse, Petrus!
I’m a lover of music, travel, and have a real passion for cooking—especially when it involves fresh, simple ingredients and time spent around the table with people I love.
I’m 42 years old and started practicing yoga nearly 15 years ago. I began with a self-taught practice before earning my E-RYT 200, with a specialty in Yin Yoga therapy.
Yoga has truly shaped who I am today. In the beginning, it gave me exactly what I thought I needed—physical benefits like flexibility, strength, and movement. But the longer I stayed with the practice, the more it revealed something deeper. It wasn’t just about the poses or the workout. It became a space for quiet, awareness, and reflection.
Over time, my thoughts and reactions began to change. My responses to life’s challenges and setbacks softened. I found strength in stillness rather than in reactive behavior. Yoga helped me become a better version of myself.

I wanted to share that transformation with others, so I started teaching. My journey began with corporate yoga, partnering with a company called EXOS—a performance-focused wellness company that supports employee health through movement, mindset, nutrition, and recovery. I had the opportunity to travel and teach at major corporate headquarters, including Vanguard and Honeywell, where I witnessed firsthand the powerful impact yoga could have in high-performance workplace environments. Teaching corporate yoga became a passion—I wanted to bring that shift to more workplaces.
Eventually, I began working with companies like CBRE, The Foundry, and MMA apartment communities. Alongside corporate sessions, I also started teaching private, one-on-one clients. That brought a whole new perspective and a deep appreciation for the life-changing potential of personalized yoga.
Around the same time, I began teaching after-school yoga for children through the Greater Enrichment Program of Charlotte. Guiding kids through mindfulness and movement became one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching journey—watching them connect to breath and stillness in their own way was a beautiful reminder of yoga’s power at any age.
All of these experiences—my own transformation, the privilege of teaching in corporate spaces, one-on-one sessions, and with children—have come together to form Prava Yoga.
Prava Yoga is a reflection of everything I’ve learned along the way. It’s a traveling studio built to meet people where they are—in their bodies, their lives, and their spaces. Whether it’s a corporate office, a family home, or a community center, the goal is always the same: to offer yoga that is accessible, personal, and deeply supportive.
This is the work I love, and I’m so grateful to share it.
